I was born a photographer. I borrowed my dad's 110 camera around age 8 and then recieved my own camera at 14. I joined the Navy to see the world — unfortunately the photographer rating was closed. We traveled to 20 countries from Paris to Rome to Athens to a wildlife safari in Kenya. I refined my photography skills selling my prints to shipmates. From there I learned available light photography shooting rock bands in the many low lighted venues of the Atlanta area. I got my real professional start in 2000 shooting NASCAR throughout the Southeast. I was selected by a sports photo wire service to cover professional and college sports. See more here.

Weddings are very demanding, much like any sporting event. Lisa and I face several types of light throughout a day — from clouds to full sun, from incandescent fluorescent to candlelight. We rely heavily on our years of experience to properly expose your photos.

Our style can be considered unobtrusive and photojournalistic. We also pose many formal wedding party and family shots. We carry 5 to 7 cameras, several flash units, as well as studio light kits. In the event of equipment failure — and yes, equipment does fail — we grab our backup and seamlessly continue the day.

Our philosophy is simple: It's your day. For us, there is only one chance. There are no do-over's. You are contracting us to record your day so that you can relive that special moment or kiss time after time with your children down to your children's children. We know what you are facing at this moment because 16 years ago, we were right where you are and we are committed to delivering to you a wonderful selection of photos from two photographers' perspectives.

Lisa is an amazing photographer. Her calm, pleasant nature makes her a joy to work with. Lisa runs the business end of RWP. She also is responsible for designing your custom wedding album.
She has been a student at Wesleyan College in Macon, Georgia working on her bachelor's degree in Advertising & Marketing Communication, though she's taken a year off from school to be home with our new baby girl. Taught by world renowned photographer, Fernando La Rosa, Lisa has brought in a whole new perspective in photographing weddings and portraits with me.

My dad taught me as a little boy to, "always do your work the best you can, so that you would feel proud enough to sign your name on it." Every day is a new learning experience as is every shot I take, so, yes, with Randy Wilson Photography, you will only receive signature service.
